The plum blossom elastic coupling has torsional elasticity, shock absorption, maintenance-free, compact design and low inertia.
The plum blossom elastic coupling has a simple structure, a small number of parts, a small radial dimension, and no need for lubrication; the elastic element has a high load-bearing capacity under pressure. Except for the double-flange plum blossom elastic coupling, the half coupling must be moved axially when replacing the vulnerable plum blossom elastic parts. This kind of coupling has a certain ability to compensate the relative offset of the two shafts.
The cross-section of the plum petals of the plum elastic coupling is usually circular, which can improve the uniformity of the load distribution on the working surface, and can transmit larger torque, but the elasticity is slightly reduced. It can also be made into a rectangular or fan shape. When the coupling is working, the plum petals are squeezed, and only half of the plum petals carry work.
1. The plum blossom flexible coupling can transmit torque and rotation angle, and absorb the safety deviation of the shaft. When the installation deviation exceeds the allowable value, it may cause vibration or shorten the life of the coupling. Therefore, ensure that the deviation is adjusted properly.
2. Deviations do not only occur in equipment assembly. Vibration, thermal expansion, bearing wear, etc. during the working process can cause deviations. Therefore, it is recommended to adjust the axial deviation to less than 1/3 of the maximum value.
3. There are three kinds of shaft deviation, namely radial deviation, angular deviation and axial deviation. Please adjust the deviation so that it is lower than the allowable value listed in the specification table of each product.
4. The maximum deviation tolerance listed in each product refers to the case where only one deviation exists. When two or more deviations exist at the same time, the allowable value should be less than 1/2 of the maximum deviation in each specification table.
Plum-shaped elastic parts are generally made of polyester polyurethane (hardness code a), or cast nylon (hardness code b), the former has a lower bearing capacity than the latter. The semi-coupling and flange connection material is 45 steel or ZG70-500. In the chemical industry, in order to prevent corrosion, the phenolic resin is often used to make the semi-coupling.
